I think the introduction of the Gamma Knights in 4th edition was great. Also, the idea the lone Gamma Knights would set up their own little "fiefdoms" and rule the locals makes total sense. It also makes one think about the middle ages when a lone "noble" would come into an area or village and pretty much be the only law in town, or at least the only one capable of enforcement, being armed and armored to the teeth.
What are everyone else's thoughts about Gamma Knights? Sure, they can be game-busters if one of the players finds a suit of Tandem VIII armor and everyone else is swinging broadswords with chainmail. It's still fun though in my eyes

I'd love to someday play this. I've got TWO sets, and have staged some mock battles on my own gameing table, Etc., but never have had any gamers who were into mini-type games. Most of my players are female, so "Really Big Guns" style gaming isn't our norm.

I've got two females in my group, and they like the "really big guns" style of gaming, as long as there is something else, too. Hell, I get bored of that style....
Anyway, I've never owned this. Want to get it. _________________ -----

I loved Gamma Knights. Rather than leaving powered armour just another tool in the arsenal, this product made it a part of the post-apocalypse culture. As long as it's a campaign unto itself (i.e. no mixed parties: just knights, squires, living metal) you're safe. If anyone wants to see the Alternity conversion, plus a few examples of Gamma Knight NPCs, check it out in this issue of Apocalyptic Post here:

Nick Pollotta's fun "Choose Your Own Adventure" books, American Knights and The 24-Hour War let you play a a knight with a goofy AI suit named HOBART (characters that appear again in the only separately published story/adventure for GW5 in the last issue of WOTC's Amazing Stories.)

...Or an AI supplying it's android minions with said armor. This could easily work as a bump to the technology threat level and a campaign change as the newly armored heroes find that their world has just become a lot larger and deadlier.

I found Gamma Knights as a PDF and I found it kind of funny. I was looking at the system of hard-point slots and it reminded me of an old cartoon called The Centurions. Am I the only one who notices this! _________________

Hmmm....the name sounds familiar but I can't recall it. I'll have to do some googling.... _________________ I only have two rules:
1. The GM is always right.
2. If the GM is ever wrong, refer to Rule #1.

Finally got it, and I'm rather disappointed. Its a mucho complex Battletech rip-off. I'll just use Battletech. _________________ -----

I loved the Gamma Knights & the way it was presented in either a role playing system or its own 'Knights' wargame. I'd still love to play this one night at our bi-weekly meetings, once we're done with B5 Wars & SFB.
I've never actually played it, but I've read the rules to death when it came out. Also, if I were to start another 4th ed GW PBeM game, I'd like to anchor the game in rolepllaying, but with the Gamma Knights as a central theme.

I MIGHT have just snagged a Gamma Knights player for the future! He's into WarHammer Minis, but was willing to take a gift copy of GW 4e. to look over.............. I may actually get to try this game out in a month or two!
